Two Aberdeen-based companies have climbed up the charts for best performing UK firms following profitable 2013.
The 13th annual Sunday Times Top Track 100 league table ranks Britain’s 100 private companies with the biggest sales.
Placed 34 drilling contractor KCA Deutag grew its sales by 29% to £1.4billionn last year, climbing 13 places on the table.
While oil and gas services provider ASCO has moved up from the penultimate on the previous table to rank 76 after recording £38million in profits.
The two were among five Scottish companies who made it to the chart, together with construction services firm The Miller Group (ranked 81), distiller William Grant & Sons (49) and highest ranked Arnold Clark Automobiles (13).
They had combined profits‡ of £624million.
