Industrial cleaning business MSIS had the best year in its history last year as its operating profits nearly doubled.
New contracts with oil and gas operators and service companies together with increased activity in the Cromarty Firth all contributed to the positive results, the Invergordon firm said.
The company hailed “the best results in the group’s 16-year history” as it reported an increase in turnover from £9.6million in 2012 to £12.5million in 2013, and a 91% rise in earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation to £2.3million over the same period.
“It is pleasing to see the efforts of our employees being recognised by our customer base,” said David Skinner, MSIS managing director.
“By the end of this year we will have invested over £2.5million in 24 months in new equipment to support our offshore and onshore services and products and added a number of new positions to our staff.
Chairman Chris Lloyd acquired the Invergordon and Inverurie-based firm alongside Maven Investment Fund in a £6million deal in 2007.
