Production has restarted at the Tambar field in Norway following the death of a worker.
The field was temporarily shut down after the deceased, Freddy Olsen, a 43-year-old Norwegian, fell from the Maersk Interceptor rig during maintenance work at the field.
Aberdeen-based Faroe Petroleum, which has a 45% stake in Tambar, said: “Production from the Tambar field in Norway has recommenced, following the tragic accident on the Maersk Interceptor drilling rig on Thursday, 7 December 2017.
“The Tambar infill and gas lift installation programme has also recommenced. A full investigation into the accident on the Maersk Interceptor is being undertaken by the authorities and the Tambar operator Aker BP.”
