MHWirth said it has reduced its staff in the UK by 23 positions.
The company, which is one of Akastor’s portfolio firms, has reduced its overall staff by 1,350 jobs.
A spokeswoman for MHWirth confirmed 23 job losses had recently been made in its UK operations.
She said:”There have unfortunately been 23 job losses during 2015 in MHWirth UK.
“During 2015 MHWirth have reduced from 4300 employees to 2950 employees. This includes both consultants and employees.”
Last November, Akastor which has a number of portfolio companies including MHWirth, Frontica and DOF Deepwater, said it had recorded a turnover of NOK3.6billion – a 28% decrease on last year’s NOK5billion.
Weatherford yesterday confirmed it was looking to make a number of headcount reductions from its UK operations.
Akastor’s portfolio companies include MHWirth, Frontica, AKOFS Offshore, Fjords Processing, KOP Surface Products, EZRA, DOF Deepwater, FirstGeo and Step Oiltools.
