Aker Solutions and Total have agreed to cooperate on subsea technology development.
The initial four-year technical collaboration agreement is expected to build on earlier cooperation and bring both companies closer in developing technologies which will reduce costs and increase value at subsea oil and gas fields.
The partnership said it will explore a wide range of issues this year including further evolution of subsea processing and compression systems to boost cost efficiency of deepwater gas production.
It will also focus on development of electric subsea controls and optimisation of flow measurement technologies.
