Transocean said it will reduce its headcount by up to 190 jobs in the Gulf of Mexico.
The move comes after the company announced earlier this week there would be redundancies in Norway or more than 200 workers.
The latest figures were made public in a notice filed with the Texas Workforce Commission.
The job losses from Transocean are as a result of dwindling work, with up to 50 roles expected to go on its Deepwater Champion.
As many as 140 roles will go as the company moors its Discoverer Deep Seas drill ship.
Meanwhile, Pioneer Natural Resources is said to be reducing its headcount by 148 roles in the Eagle Ford shale region.
