JKX Oil and Gas has appointed Alan Bigman and Bernie Sucher to its board.
Bigman will take over as the chairman of the audit committee and Sucher will be the chairman of the remuneration committee.
Sucher is the former country head of Bank of America in Moscow and previously held board positions for the American Chamber of Commerce and the US-Russia Business Council.
Bigman is currently a director of Sanchez Production and co-founder and director of Vista Tex Energy. He was previously the chief financial officer for Lyondell Basell Industries.
JKX chairman Paul Ostling said: “We said at the outset that one of the first tasks of the new board would be to appoint two strong independent non-executive directors. In Alan and Bernie we have unquestionably done that.
“They bring exceptional knowledge of working at the highest levels in the region combined with directly relevant experience. They both will strengthen the corporate governance credentials of the company and further ensure that the interests of all shareholders are protected. JKX now has a new board which is fully equipped to get on with the job of the company, namely restoring value for all stakeholders.”
