Sound Energy has started drilling its first well onshore Morocco.
The Tendrara well was spud on April 20. Drilling is expected to reach a total measured depth of 2640 metres. The well’s final results will be released at the close of Sound’s testing operations in 80 days.
Chief executive James Parson said: “I am pleased to report that drilling of our first well in Morocco has now commenced. This well is a significant milestone for our Company and we expect it to both unlock Eastern Morocco’s regional gas play and significantly broaden Sound Energy’s resource base.”
