GE Oil & Gas will cut 269 jobs from a facility in Louisiana later this year.
The move was revealed by the Louisiana Workforce Commission with redundancies beginning in December.
The plant is expected to close by year’s end.
Those affected work at the Pineville site in manufacturing, sales/ services and engineering.
The firm notified the state of its pending job cuts earlier this month.
It comes after GE announced last year it would be transferring its valve manufacturing operations from Louisiana to Jacksonville, Florida.
