Fugro said it has been awarded a geotechnical site investigation contract by ONGC India for the KG-DWN-98/2 project on the East Coast of India.
The company will work to gather site specific geotechnical and geohazard data to aid in the design and later the installation of wellheads, manifolds, platforms, floating platform, storage and offloading vessel anchors, umbilical, pipeline and flow lines within the field.
The Fugro Voyager will perform work in water depths ranging from 50-1500m commencing before the end of the third quarter of the year.
The fieldwork is expected to be followed up with extensive laboratory testing, data analysis and interpretation and integration with previous data to help provide characterisation reports.
Block KG-DWN-98/2 is the Krishna-Godavari Basin adjoining Reliance’s D6 block.
