Songa Offshore said It has no plans to scrap some of its rigs, three of which are among the oldest on the continental shelf.
According to reports, the company said it had no plans to sell the Songa Trym, Dee or Delta despite the three all currently being stacked in the North Sea.
Bjornar Iversen of Songa Offshore said the market was still “very tough” and the company would see how it developed over the next couple of years.
In June it was revealed Statoil had suspended the Songa Delta rig for a short period of time.
It was put on 75% suspension rate from the end of last month.
