The Mozambique government has sacked its energy minister.

The Mozambique government has sacked its energy minister.

According to reports, President Filipe Nyusi sacked Pedro Couto from his role as Mineral Resources and Energy Minister.

It comes at a time when the department is negotiating multi-billion dollar gas projects.

No reason was given for Couto’s dismissal.
