Oil major Chevron plans to start selling condensate produced at its Gorgon gas field, according to reports.
The company could potentially market a 600,00 – 650,000 barrel cargo for loading in December.
Final details are reportedly still being finalised.
Chevron started operations at the Gorgon field in March, but was forced to shut briefly in July as a result of unexpected technical problems.
The introduction of the new condensate comes at a time when demand for the light oil is rising, with two new splitters in South Korea and in Qatar starting trial runs.
