The motives behind a suspension of Saudi petroleum to Egypt are not clear, according to the country’s leader.
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi denied reports his country’s vote on Syria at the UN Security Council had impacted the move.
It comes after a meeting at the UN Security Council earlier this month in which the African country voted for a French draft resolution on Syria.
The oil had been suspended before the vote but diplomats and analysts have said Saudi Arabia was angered by the country’s position.
Sisi said Egypt had no plans to ‘bow to pressure’ from anyone.
