Bibby Offshore has started work on a second contract for oil major Shell at its Corrib gas field, offshore Ireland.
The company has already completed an initial contract which saw its construction support vessel, the Olympic Area, perform subsea inspections on the field.
The 40-day campaign involved pipeline survey inspection work on an 83km long gas pipeline and internal wellhead and manifold fault dianostics, structural inspection and cathodic protection measurements.
Shell has since awarded Bibby a second contract also using the Olympic Area, equipped with two Quantam work class ROVs.
