An explosion has at Albanian refinery has killed one person and wounded seven others.
According to reports, the incident at the US owned building caused an enormous fire which was put out on Friday.
Police have said a malfunctioning hydrogen valve caused the explosion in the refinery, which started operating two months ago after a $52million revamp.
The condition of two of those injured are said to be life-threatening.
The seven wounded workers were treated for severe burns.
Damages following the incident were estimated to be around $1million.
The Energy Ministry’s inspection team said hydrogen pressure at the valve was three times higher than the normal level.
