UK Energy Minister Jesse Norman made his first visit to industry leaders in Aberdeen yesterday.
Mr Norman met Oil and Gas UK chief executive Deirdre Michie to discuss the government’s industrial strategy.
He also visited subsea engineering company Expro and NHV helicopters, which opened its first base in Aberdeen in December 2015 and has recently opened a new hangar and passenger terminal at Aberdeen Airport.
Mr Norman said: “Aberdeen is the industry’s beating heart and I’ve seen first-hand today the world-leading technology and expertise we have here.
“In the face of significant challenges, the industry has demonstrated time and time again how resilient and adaptive it can be, and we will continue to support it wherever we can through these difficult times.”
