Iraq said it has reduced its oil production by around 180,000 barrels per day and plans to cut a further 30,000 barrels per day before the end of the month.
The drop has come from a 4.75million bpd.
OPEC oil minister Jabar Ali al-Luaibi revealed the figures at an industry even in London.
Iraq agreed to lower its production by 210,000bpd as part of a deal struck in December.
The country had originally sought to be exempt from any cuts, claiming it needed the revenue as it fights an insurgency from Islamic State.
