Shell will divest two of its Thai subsidiaries to the Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company for $900million (£720million).
Shell Integrated Gas Thailand Pte and Thai Energy Co together hold a 22.2% stake in the Bongkot field.
Shell’s partners in the Bongkot Asset are operator PTTEP and Total.
The deal is expected to be wrapped up during the first quarter of 2017.
Also today, Shell revealed it had agreed to sell £3billion worth of North Sea assets to Chrysaor.
