Dana Petroleum’s long-awaited Western Isles FPSO has been completed at a shipyard in China.
The enormous vessel is shortly to make its way to the North Sea, where it will be central to Dana’s massive plans for developing the Harris and Barra fields in the northern North Sea, 160km east of the Shetlands.
Plateau production is expected to be around 40,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day,
The estimated field life is 15 years.
