Centrica has confirmed putting off the submission of a field development plan (FDP) for the Fogelberg discovery in the Norwegian Sea until mid-2019.
Norwegian news website Petro.no earlier reported that the project partners had decided to tie the field back to the nearby Asgard B Platform.
But a lack of capacity on the Asgard Transportation System (ATS) before 2021 has convinced the partners to hold off on submitting their FDP until June 30, 2019.
A spokesperson for Centrica has confirmed that production start-up would not be possible earlier than 2021 in light of the capacity restrictions on ATS.
Centrica holds the operatorship and 50% of Fogelberg, with Faroe Petroleum and DEA Norge each on 25%.
