Energy company Eni has been reprimanded for not having its risk and safety systems at a satisfactory level on its Goliat facility.
Audits conducted by the PSA, Norway’s offshore oil industry watchdog, were implemented after seven hydrocarbon leaks occurred in 2016.
The audits concluded one area of non-conformity with a safety system and four points of improvement in connection with management of competence for personnel, dissemination of information, procedures and key locks on valves liable to be incorrectly operated.
Eni has been given a deadline of May 12 to report on how the non-conformity will be dealt with and how points for improvement will be assessed.
