Aker BP has handed Schlumberger a $30million contract to gather 4D seismic data on four of its fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
Schlumberger subsidiary WesternGeco will fulfil the four year contract, which has extension options built it.
The seismic acquisition work on the Aker BP-operated fields Alvheim, Bøyla, Skarv/Snadd and Ula will start next month.
The WG Amundsen seismic vessel will be used.
Ole-Johan Molvig of Aker BP said: “With this framework contract, Aker BP is fortifying our position as an operator with significant ambitions for growth and value creation on the Norwegian Shelf.”
