Statoil has awarded Ocean Installer a subsea installations and tie-in operations contract for the Johan Sverdrup, Utgard and Bauge projects.
The contract is for umbilical installation at Johan Sverdrup, Bauge and Utgard, as well as spools, cover, tie-in and manifold installation at Utgard and is part of Statoil’s Marine Wave 2 program.
Ocean Installer CEO Steinar Riise said: “Ocean Installer is conducting widespread work for Statoil under the Marine Wave 1 program this year and we are truly pleased to have been selected as a key contractor also for the second phase of this Statoil scheme in 2019.”
Project management and engineering will begin immediately from Ocean Installer’s Stavanger headquarters, with offshore operations set to commence in 2019.
The operations will be conducted by construction support vessels Normand Vision and Normand Reach.
