US oilfield services giant Weatherford has suffered a small drop in revenue compared to last year but clawed back the bottomline with operating efficiencies.
Revenue for the first six months of 2017 amounted to $1.3billion (£993million).
This is compared to £1.07billion in the same period last year.
The Switzerland headquartered company managed to narrow GAAP loss before income taxes, amounting to £113million at the end of June 2017 compared to £507million last year.
Net cash used in operating activities was $62 million for the second quarter of 2017.
