US oilfield services giant National Oilwell Varco (NYSE: NOV) has appointed a Chevron veteran to the board, effective immediately.
Melody B. Meyer spent 37 years with the US supermajor before her retirement last year.
She managed domestic and international operations, managing strategy and planning and leading new technology development for the organisation during her tenure.
Ms. Meyer was the president of Chevron Asia Pacific Exploration and Production from 2011 until her retirement in 2016.
Prior to that, Ms. Meyer served as the president of the Chevron Energy Technology Company from 2008 to 2011 and the Vice President of Chevron’s Gulf of Mexico business unit from 2004 to 2008.
