Natural gas producer, Saffron Energy, have announced confirmation on the framework agreement between the Italian State and the region of Emilia Romagna to begin production.
This agreement will look to pave the way for a full grant of the Sant’Alberto production concession.
The framework agreement, called an “intesa” in Italy, will sit in place until a full grant is predicted for October 2017, with preliminary production expected to begin in the beginning of 2018.
Saffron Energy’s portfolio includes two gas production fields; Sillaro (100%) and Bezzecca (90%) alongside the Sant’Alberto agreement.
All of Saffron’s assets are located near Milan and Bologna.
