Exploration, development and production company, Rose Petroleum, has announced the acquisition of data received from the seismic shoot within the Paradox Basin in the state of Utah, USA.
The 3D excavation was undertaken over a 40 square mile area and involved drilling and recording teams to complete the shoot.
Rose Petroleum are reporting that the data clean-up process will take approximately 10 business days before they transfer to the processing stage.
Directors for the petroleum company are reporting that the data they have viewed is ‘encouraging’ and higher quality than previous operations in the area.
The shoot comprised three to four teams of vibrator trucks set up to enable the capture of 311 source points shot per day.
Rose Petroleum has reported that they expect the data results to be available before the end of 2017.
Once identified, the company will progress with five initial drilling target locations.
Matthew Idiens, chief executive, said: “I am delighted by progress that has been made in the field, we are well ahead of the schedule and I am encouraged by the feedback to date on the quality of data achieved.
“We look forward to receiving the initial results of the data processing shortly. Further processing and interpretation of the data will be carried out to then define the drill targets. These are now expected in early Q1 2018, which will be an exciting start to the New Year. We will then commence permitting of the initial five drill target locations as soon as possible thereafter.
“We look forward to keeping the market updated during this exciting period for the Company.”
