Norway’s offshore safety body uncovered four non-conformities during checks on the Troll field and the Songa Endurance rig.
The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway was conducting the audit to ensure that Statoil, Songa and associated contractors were complying with regulatory requirements relating to planning, risk assessment and execution within the Troll field.
The audit identified four shortcomings around intersecting wellbores, risk analyses, capacity and competence in Statoil’s Troll organisation.
The companies have been given until January 15, 2018, to state how they will address these non-conformities.
