Energean Oil and Gas said today that Aberdeen-based Stena Drilling will work on three development wells on the Karish field off Israel at the start of 2019.
The Stena Forth drillship will be mobilised from Las Palmas, where it is currently located.
First gas is expected in 2021, London-headquartered Energean said.
Earlier this month Stena said it was in consultation with 450 people employed between three drillships currently warm-stacked in Las Palmas, including Stena Forth.
The drilling contractor said about 57 of those involved in the consultation live in Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire.
Stena managing director Erik Ronsberg said he hoped winning new contracts would help the company limit the number of redundancies it has to make.
