A state of emergency has been declared in order to help stop the spread of a deadly oil spill off the coast of the island of Borneo.
Four fishermen were killed when the spill ignited over the weekend, near the port city of Balikpapan.
The city is now struggling to deal with toxic smoke.
Authorities say it is not clear which caused the spill.
The spill has now stretched to an area of around seven square miles and is already affecting the livelihoods of local fishermen.
A refinery manager told the Jakarta Post that the spill was marine fuel oil, not crude oil.
