Norway opens new offshore licensing round

Norway has opened a new licensing round focusing on blocks in the North Sea, the Norwegian Sea and the Barents Sea.

Bidders have until September 4 to register this interest and the awards will be announced in the first quarter of 2019.

Compared with last year’s auction, an extra 47 blocks in the Norwegian Sea and 56 in the Barents Sea have been put up for grabs.
