SUBSEA project-management and engineering company CSL has opened new offices in Norway and Egypt.
The Aberdeen firm said yesterday the move was in line with its strategy of expansion to new international markets.
CSL said it had seen a consistent level of business from Norwegian clients since its inception in 2000 plus strong growth in demand for its services in Egypt during the past year. CSL added that engineers were being recruited in both countries to support the new operations in Stavanger and Cairo and an existing pipeline of business.
The firm, which employs more than 170 subsea specialists, expects business from Norway and Egypt to contribute more than £2million in turnover this year.
CSL managing director Mark Gillespie said: “The offices in Norway and Egypt allow us to support ongoing projects and provide increased focus to existing proposals and tenders. In both locations, the engineering and project-delivery capability CSL is recognised for is in high demand.”
The two new offices bring the number of CSL bases to four. Other locations include CSL’s headquarters in Aberdeen and an office in London, which opened its doors last year.
Mr Gillespie said: “Opening three offices in the past 14 months demonstrates the excellent progress we’re making with our growth strategy.
“With development activity continuing in Norway and Egypt and the backing of an extremely high-calibre team, we’re well-placed to take full advantage of the international opportunities.”
