KCA Deutag, the Aberdeen-based international drilling and engineering contractor, has won a substantial new contract for work in the Norwegian North Sea.
The value of the deal with Norwegian energy giant Statoil has not been disclosed but it is thought to be worth more than £21million.
KCA Deutag – which employs more than 8,000 people worldwide, including 300 in Aberdeen and 400 offshore in the UK North Sea – will provide drilling services at the Kvitebjorn gas and condensate field after winning the competitive tender.
