Aberdeen-based Awilco Drilling said today that it had tied up a £28million contract with Shell UK for the decommissioning of 18 wells.
The firm 18 well program has an estimated duration of 330 days and is scheduled to commence around 1 September 2018.
Awilco will provide the WilPhoenix rig, one of its two enhanced pacesetter semi-submersibles.
WilPhoenix can drill to water depths of up to 1,200 feet.
