Explorer Premier Oil said today its North Sea activities would be focused on UK waters after drilling a dry well in Norway.
The firm added the Gardrofa well offshore Norway would be plugged and abandoned.
However, it also named three UK North Sea discoveries it expected to drill in the coming months.
Premier said drilling at the Erne exploration well was already underway.
It added the Sedco 704 rig was currently drilling an appraisal well on the Encore-operated Tudor Rose prospect but would spud Bluebell early next year.
It also said it planned to drill another well in the Catcher area, called Carnaby, in the first quarter of 2012.
