SCOTTISH company Dron and Dickson (D&D) said today it had signed partnerships with firms in north Africa and the Middle East in an effort to enter the two markets.
The Stirling-based firm, which designs, supplies and maintains electrical equipment used mainly in the oil and gas sector, set up agreements with Abu Dhabi-based Al Yaseah Group and SeaHarvest, who will act as its agents.
Al Yaseah provides land-based and offshore construction, consultancy and support services, while SeaHarvest supplies products and services to the oil and gas industry.
D&D operations director Colin Maver said: “This is an important step forward for D&D and these partnerships signify the company’s further expansion into the export market.”
D&D has a 210-strong workforce, with most of its work carried out at Aberdeen offices employing 30 people.
