ABERDEEN firm Nautronix, which designs and makes electronic marine technology products for the oil and gas industry, increased its payroll by 16% to 71 in the year to June 30, 2008, and it is on target to add a further 10 to its workforce in the current year, its managing director Mark Patterson said yesterday.
Speaking after its latest annual report and accounts were released by Companies House, he said: “We’re fairly optimistic going forward, although we expect to see some effect from the global economic downturn.”
Nautronix, whose biggest shareholder is Ian Suttie, made pre-tax profits of £3.835million in the year, on turnover of £8.98million, against £2.46million and £8.91million the year before.
