ABERDEEN company Enterprise Engineering Services has announced the appointment of Andrew Scott as managing director.
He takes over the role from Gordon Mitchell, who has stepped down after 18 years.
In 24 years with Enterprise, Mr Scott has been a key figure in the firm’s expansion, seeing it grow from a fabrication business in the 1980s to a three-division group operating globally from headquarters at West Tullos.
Mr Scott joined the company as a quality-assurance engineer in 1985, working his way up to project manager and latterly to engineering manager, leading a team of 60 fabrication workshop staff.
He will now be responsible for the company’s three divisions: Enterprise Engineering, Scottish Rig Repairs and Site Services. Together they provide fabrication services for the oil and gas industry, repair-and-modification services to a number of major drilling companies worldwide and onsite maintenance for the hydro-power, water-control and paper industries.
With an annual turnover of more than £14million, the company employs 140 staff both onshore at its West Tullos workshops and offices and offshore on client sites.
