ABERDEEN-BASED energy service company Senergy has appointed Vivien Broughton as vice-president of resources.
The firm said the move would strengthen its commitment to building and developing its global talent pool. Senergy chief executive James McCallum said: “Vivien’s hands-on technical experience in subsurface and drilling prior to moving into human resources gives her a unique understanding of our business, and makes her an extremely valuable addition to our team as we enter the next stage of Senergy’s rapid global growth.”
The new recruit, who spent 15 years with offshore drilling contractor Transocean, said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Senergy at a time when the company is growing and globalising into new markets. Senergy’s strength lies in its team of technically excellent people and I’m looking forward to enhancing our capabilities to meet our employees’ and clients’ needs.”
She decided to change her career path and move into human resources in 2002 after spending more than 10 years in technical roles.
Senergy, established in 2005, employs more than 500 people worldwide across its Aberdeen headquarters and through a network of offices in the UK, Norway, the Middle East, Australia, south-east Asia and the Americas.
