ABERDEEN-BASED RBG has been recognised at an annual UK award ceremony.
NOF Energy, the business-development organisation for the oil, gas, nuclear and offshore wind sectors, named RBG as the winner of its Innovation and Technology Award.
The group provides fabric maintenance and construction support to the energy industry.
The award judges highlighted RBG’s PlusGard system as a key innovation developed to improve offshore safety and reduce associated costs.
PlusGard makes sure that scaffolders at work can be contained safely within a railed system.
RBG operations-support director Fraser Coull said: “We are continuously looking for ways to successfully harness and develop new technology.
“I’m very pleased that we have won the innovation and technology award as it recognises RBG as a cutting-edge and dynamic organisation.”
George Rafferty, chief executive of NOF Energy, said: “Delivering innovation through the use of technology is the lifeblood of the energy sectors. RBG is well deserving of this award as it is at forefront of creating specialist solutions to improve safety and working practices in the sectors in which it operates.”
