North Sea helicopter operator Bond Offshore Helicopters (BOH) is under new ownership after a near-£270million takeover of its parent.
All the operations of Bond Aviation Group (BAG), including Aberdeen-based BOH, are now part of World Helicopters: a holding company of Spanish group Inaer.
The addition of BAG’s fleet of more than 40 helicopters gives Luxembourg-based World Helicopters access to about 360 rotary and fixed-wing aircraft.
A spokesman at BAG said the £267.4million deal would have no immediate impact on jobs at BOH, which employs about 310 people, while continued growth of the overall business was likely to mean new jobs for pilots, engineers and administrative staff.
