ENERGY service firm RBG said yesterday it had won a contract worth more than £500,000 from Apache North Sea.
The deal involves the manufacture of two risers for the oil company. They will be constructed at RBG’s Invergordon base and will replace risers on the Forties Bravo and Charlie platforms.
The project will be delivered by the Aberdeen company’s newly formed marine and subsea division – a merger of its traditional marine and fabrication units.
The division’s director, Calum Buchanan, said: “We are very pleased to be working with Apache again.
“To be contracted to a field as established and well known as Forties speaks volumes for our past work.
“Our highly skilled team in Invergordon has unrivalled riser manufacturing experience and expertise and I am confident the project will be a great success.”
