OILFIELD service company Dominion Gas is aiming for further growth in overseas business before the year is out, with the Middle East and Latin America among locations within its sights.
In the past year, the industrial gas supplier has added west Africa, Australia, the US, Canada, China and India to a growing list of global markets which already included Norway, Azerbaijan, Singapore and the UK.
Managing director Doug Crighton said: “Expanding a business on an international scale is never an easy task.
“Our success is largely due to developing innovative ways of entering new markets, such as the development of our portable gas trans-fill system (PGTS). The PGTS is basically a mobile gas plant which allows us to enter new, often challenging, environments extremely quickly without having to take on the risks associated with investing in permanent equipment and infrastructure straight away.”
The firm was recently named among the finalists for the Northern Star Business Awards 2009, which reach their climax at a dinner at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on Thursday, September 24.
Mr Crighton said: “It is very rewarding to have our efforts recognised by the judges and a tribute to the hard work and dedication of staff in all our international locations.”
