ENERGY industry leaders are to gather to explore the challenges of subsea pipeline integrity at a one-day event.
Subsea UK is hosting the Subsea Pipelines Integrity Management conference, in partnership with the Pipeline Industries Guild and the Society of Underwater Technology (SUT).
Industry speakers will tackle the issues of subsea pipeline inspection, maintenance and repair.
Subsea UK chief executive Neil Gordon said: “The complex but mission-critical issue of monitoring and maintaining pipeline integrity is increasingly important to our sector.
“It is vital that operators have a sustainable strategy in place which allows them to monitor their assets and make quick and effective decisions in the case of any flaws to prevent an incident.
“This conference is an ideal platform to exchange ideas, knowledge and technology as well as the opportunity to share best practice to meet business objectives, particularly with regard to legacy assets that are required to continue operation beyond their original design lifetimes.”
The event is being held in London and will hear from experts from BP, Schlumberger, Chevron, Penspen and DNV.
