RECENTLY formed Wellbore Intervention said yesterday it had secured a key quality accreditation.
The north-east company made achieving the quality management standard ISO9001:2008 a priority element of its growth strategy after it began operations in January. It has already completed its first offshore UK operation and provided services to clients in Ukraine, Siberia, Germany, Africa and Colombia.
Managing director Jim Thomson said: “We felt it was important from the outset to demonstrate that quality was at the heart of our services, products and systems.”
The company recently invested £300,000 in additional rental tools and other equipment. Based at Kinellar, near Aberdeen, the company was established by Mr Thomson and fellow directors Scott Fraser and Barry Webster.
