Oil and gas recruitment entrepreneur Andrew MacDonald has resurrected the name Maxwell Drummond more than two years after the previous business folded.
Maxwell Drummond Group, comprising Maxwell Drummond Limited, FG Associates (FGA) and Carlton Resource Solutions, is operating from 37 Albert Street, Aberdeen, and expected to create five new jobs before the end of this year.
The group’s board of directors possess more than 120 years’ combined experience, including Mr MacDonald as initial principal investor, along with the co-founders of FGA – Craig Finnie, Andrew Burton and Phil Smith – who will head up the new venture.
Mr MacDonald, a former operations director in the recruitment arm of Amec and co-founder of Africa-focused Sabre Oil and Gas, founded global executive search business Maxwell Drummond International in 1994.
He oversaw significant growth across offices in Aberdeen, London, Houston, Calgary and Singapore before the firm foundered in the oil and gas downturn.
Mr Macdonald said: “The new leadership team at Maxwell Drummond Group has unrivalled industry knowledge, with a truly global reach.”
Group managing director Craig Finnie added: “Our goal is to create a market-leading local business with a strong international presence through re-igniting the Maxwell Drummond brand.
“There is enormous potential to rapidly expand our unique offering beyond Aberdeen.”
