UK-BASED international oilfield service company Expro has more than 14 years’ experience of operating in the Norwegian sector.
With a significant number of contracts secured and in the pipeline, the firm is committed to maintaining a strong presence in Norway.
Major investment in Expro’s Bergen subsea facility to support contracts with Shell and Marathon has been enhanced by an expansion of the Norwegian headquarters at Tananger, which houses surface-test, data-acquisition, small-bore subsea and downhole-video capabilities.
Expro is also supported by bases at Bomlo and Haugesund, and more than 200 of Expro’s 4,500-strong workforce are employed in Norway.
The company’s commitment to the subsea sector is expected to see it start work shortly on a £6million centre of excellence for Expro’s Matre sensor products in Norway as part of its connectors and measurements business.
Expro has more than 12 active contracts in Norway with major operators including StatoilHydro, FMC, Shell, Talisman, BG Group and Marathon.
