ABERDEEN-BASED mechanical service company EnerMech has won a contract with Talisman Energy Norge worth about £550,000.
The work includes the design, engineering, construction and installation of a crane cabin on the Gyda platform, with delivery due for July. Construction will take place at EnerMech’s Stavanger base.
Talisman has also extended a frame agreement with EnerMech covering crane-maintenance services and modification work on the Gyda installation in the North Sea, with options to cover other Talisman-operated platforms.
EnerMech employs 250 staff at its Granite City headquarters and bases in Great Yarmouth and Stavanger.
Two Scottish companies are working on a rig refit contract for Singapore-based Prosafe Rigs.
OP Marine, of Rutherglen, has been awarded a multimillion-pound contract for the replacement of the galley and architectural refit of the lower deck, mess rooms and crew day rooms on the MSV Regalia, one of Prosafe’s fleet of 12 rigs.
Glasgow firm RH Morton has also been awarded a substantial contract, in partnership with OP Marine, to manufacture and supply bespoke galley and catering equipment for the MSV Regalia.
Project work is under way at the Keppel Verolme yard in Holland, where Prosafe is undertaking the rig refurbishment. The contracts will create 12 jobs at OP Marine, taking its workforce to 50.
