TULLOW Oil plans to launch a new exploration drilling campaign on block 2 of its acreage in Uganda this month.
According to Brian Glover, the company’s Uganda manager, Tullow intends to drill four exploration wells in the Butiaba part of the Lake Albert Basin. He said in an interview that Tullow had already achieved eight oil discoveries in the area and predicted the presence of as much as two billion barrels of oil – one billion estimated for Butiaba alone.
